WHEN SPENDING TIME ON REDDIT IS A GOOD THING...
As someone in the premed reddit pointed out, some schools may not be accepting the old MCAT as of the entering class of 2016.
Therefore, as people get ready to take the MCAT, look up schools that you may be interested in!!
For example, Indiana University: http://admissions.medicine.iu.edu/applying-to-the-iu-school-of-medicine/applicant-instructions/
"All applicants must take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) no more than three years prior to enrollment. Beginning with the entering Class of 2016 the old MCAT (verbal, Phy Sci, Bio Sci) will no longer be accepted."
Check out AAMC's list: https://www.aamc.org/students/download/398586/data/mcatexampolicy.pdf
ALSO: Please be aware that a number of medical schools (including Harvard, Indiana, Duke, Johns Hopkins and others) have already announced changes to admission requirements for fall 2015 and later so that their admission requirements better match the new MCAT's coursework requirements. Even though you may not need biochem, psych, soc, and stats to take the MCAT, you will still need the coursework on your transcript to be eligible for admission.
If a school you're interested in applying to hasn't submitted their policy to AAMC, try checking out this google doc with answers premeds at Cal have gotten so far: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1h_uzDPUSaQhNJ8bkv2iF66OgsGWpVNKErKvMiD9zlJc/edit?usp=sharing
